Projecting fictional characters to their actors makes me really uncomfortable

”Tom Hiddleston is actually Loki”

”Omg Benedict and Martin shaking hands. Johnlock feels!”

”Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are probably secretly brothers”

”James McAvoy should leave his wife and get together with Fassbender so Cherik would be canon”

I just can’t stand it. These are real life people you’re comparing to fictional characters they happen to play. I can’t read any Ackles/Collins fiction even though I’m a huge Destiel shipper, simply because they’re both happily married and live their respective lives, and I just can’t get past that. And don’t even get me started on the hate these people’s families get from some fangirls for ”ruining their OTP” (but that’s a different matter entirely).

No seriously, I’m not judging people who do this and I understand that it’s a natural part of fangirling, but it it makes me so uncomfortable you wouldn’t believe.
